Yamaha's limited edition FX-1 Standup was created at the peak of Jet Ski Racing in the mid-nineties. The FX-1's narrow hull, and high handle-pole pivot point made the ski a favorite for slalom competition amongst Jet Ski...the light weight easy to throw around hull, and high-torque 701cc engine made the FX-1 desirable amongst freestyle competitors and freeriders. Even though this stand-up was only made for a short time, in limited numbers, it still made an impact on the watercraft community and will certainly be considered an important step in the evolutionary process.
